Covid-19 Travel Information Update

Due to the uncertainty surrounding our ability to travel freely these days we want our guests to know that if you are unable to travel due to Government restrictions/border closures there will be no penalty to cancel or change your new or existing booking.

Covid Safety in Port Douglas

To all our valued guests.

With the recent developments in the spread of COVID-19, we wanted to reach out to you with the plans our team here at Macrossan House are implementing to support you and your travel and isolation plans.

We have always prided ourselves in maintaining a very high standard of cleanliness and hygiene. This along with our resort location have made it an easy transition to offer a safe and sanitary environment for those who need to self- isolate, or just a safe stop for those travellers who are already on holiday.  We have implemented a number of additional cleaning measures in our public areas and guest apartments. These measures include, but are not limited to, increased frequency to the cleaning of our public areas such as our reception, swimming pool and poolside BBQ and stairwell balustrades. Additional apartment cleaning measures have been implemented including additional disinfecting of high-touch areas. All Macrossan House staff are fully vaccinated.

In addition, we would like to take the opportunity to update you on the current situation within Port Douglas. We are extremely lucky to currently have no confirmed cases of the coronavirus within our community.

Port Douglas is still operational but restaurants, cafes, and most other shops are operating to the government set restrictions (as required at the time) with increased hygiene requirements.

We have 2 supermarkets within Port Douglas area that are well stocked and convenient to our resort.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us by phone on (07) 40994366, or via email at info@macrossanhouse.com
